Yet happiness is not found in false reflections,
But in the seeds of authenticity you sow.

Many wear masks to gain approval,
Hiding their hearts from those around.
Only to discover that self-removal
Leaves their soul lost and unbound.

Do not trade your worth for fleeting wealth,
Or wake one day feeling empty and hollow.

Stand firm when storms arrive,

Beyond This World

Come, let me take you beyond this world,
To a place where hope and peace are unfurled.
No walls divide us by race or creed,
Only compassion and the things we need.

Tables are filled with food to share,
Good health and kindness linger in the air.
No promises broken, no hearts left behind,
Only understanding among humankind.

This dream belongs to all who seek,
The strong and the weary, the bold and the meek.
A refuge from burdens that endlessly swirl,
A sanctuary beyond this world.

Yet for now we walk these earthly roads,
Carrying our dreams and heavy loads.
Holding faith through each trial hurled,
Until we awaken beyond this world.

And when at last our eyes gently close,
We’ll find the place our spirit knows.
Where peace endures and banners are unfurled,
Waiting for us beyond this world.

What Is Your Mission?

What is your mission in life?
Many search in vain,
Wandering through the years
Only to circle back again.

Some believe they know the path,
Their purpose shining bright,
While others stumble through the dark
Still searching for what’s right.

If you feel this way today,
Or if conviction fills your soul,
Tell me what your mission is,
What drives and makes you whole.

Do you carry much strife within,
Or peace that helps you stand?
Do you follow destiny’s call,
Or shape it with your hand?

Perhaps the journey is the answer,
Not the ending we pursue,
For every step and every trial
Reveals a little more of you.

So ask yourself this simple question
As another day goes by:
What is your mission in this life,
And what keeps your spirit reaching high?

Night Embrace

When the sun goes down, my skin begins to crawl,
Listening to the bumps at night and shadows on the wall.
As darkness fills the room and silences the day,
I hear my heart beat louder as the light slips away.

The blood that courses through my veins
Whispers of old sorrows, memories, and pains.
Each creak and distant murmur seems to play a part,
Stirring restless thoughts deep within my heart.

Yet the dark brings me a strange peace,
A place where life’s relentless ravages cease.
The world grows quiet, its burdens set aside,
And in the night’s embrace, I no longer need to hide.

For though the darkness may awaken fear,
It also draws the soul and pulls it near.
Beneath the moon’s watchful and gentle sweep,
The weary mind finds rest, and the spirit drifts to sleep.

The Open Lake

Connecting to oneself is often hard,
As life demands conformity’s guise.
Too many dreams are left in shards,
Beneath the weight of compromise.

If only we could be an open lake,
Reflecting skies both vast and free,
Drifting gently in the wake
Of breezes wandering aimlessly.

To live this way, with heart untied,
Unburdened by the need to prove,
Perhaps one day we’ll look inside
And find the truth we’ve sought to move.

Until that day, through storm and climb,
When peace and purpose are aligned,
The greatest task through space and time
Is learning how to tame the mind.

Often spews and bubbles forth from the depths of the unknown

Lingering mix of passion traction past that never flees

Begs to be freed blocked from natural laws that entangle me

My cranium can’t reverse what is already free

That’s why the  thoughts creep as
my indigo begin to peep

Crescendo past a mist now the
ambrosia starts to seep

Some mornings the words arrive easily. Other mornings they linger just beyond reach. This poem reflects on those quiet moments when inspiration seems distant, yet wisdom may be closer than we realize.

Between Thoughts

This morning I sat with an empty page,
quiet as a bird inside a cage.
Searching for words that refused to appear,
hiding somewhere between hope and fear.

The sun still rose without my consent,
teaching a lesson in how time is spent.
Not every moment is meant to be loud,
some wear silence as a thoughtful shroud.

Ideas wander like leaves in the breeze,
drifting through memories, crossing the seas.
The harder they’re chased, the farther they roam,
yet often return when the mind feels at home.

So today I’ll welcome the stillness instead,
and listen to whispers inside my head.
For wisdom is rarely the first to arrive,
but often the last thing to keep us alive.

And when the page finally finds its voice,
it may not be fate, but a patient choice.
A seed beneath soil, unseen yet grown,
waiting to remind us we’re never alone.

Oftentimes depends on where you’re leaning.
Present and past lineage intertwined,
Tracing silent footsteps left behind.

Some roots anchor deep within the earth,
Holding steady through famine and mirth.
Others travel through blood and name,
Generations carrying an unseen flame.

Roots can be lessons buried in time,
Echoes of reason, rhythm, and rhyme.
Whispers from ancestors long since gone,
Yet somehow their spirit still carries on.

Some seek roots to discover their place,
Searching old stories etched into a face.
Others plant new roots wherever they stand,
Cultivating tomorrow with heart and hand.

Whether beneath soil or woven through kin,
Roots reveal where we’ve traveled and been.
Though branches may wander beneath the sky,
The root remembers the reason why.
